Human Resource Department

The Institute aims to attract, develop and retain the super specialists Faculty, Consultants and Non-Faculty staff by employing innovative, administrative and managerial practices to achieve the goal of self-sustaining teaching hospital. The Human Resources (HR) Department is the cornerstone of the Institute which always strives to maintain a dedicated, skilled, and motivated staff to deliver exceptional patient care and operational excellence. The department has regularly focused on refining HR strategies, fostering employee well-being, and driving professional development, all while adapting to the dynamic challenges of the healthcare sector.

Recruitment & Selection

All the staff at the Institute including doctors are appointed initially for a period of four years, extendable based on performance. The Institute advertises the vacant posts of both Faculty and Non faculty including recruitment drive for PWD & other Reserved categories in leading newspapers time to time to invite the applications ONLINE only in consonance with the approved Recruitment Rules and through a fair and transparent Selection process.

Staff  Training

The Institute follows the best practices through effective training programs that enhances employees skills and drive the delivery of high-quality care by competent and well trained staff. Some of these initiatives which promote a culture of continuous learning by offering on going educational opportunities and keep them abreast of emerging trends, new research and advancements in the healthcare field are:

  • Blended Learning: Monthly training program of the Institute combines various training methods such as regular snippets on NABH standards through email, in-person workshops on healthcare topics, online modules like HIS, GeM etc, on-the-job training for paramedical, nursing, engineering, security, housekeeping and general duty assistants.
  • Role-Specific Training: Faculty, Nurses, Paramedical and administrative staff attended training programs specific to their disciplines which was organised by various healthcare associations, departments, like NMC, IDSP, PC & PNDT Cell, NAMS, NOTTO, Vigilance deptt, DSHM, NFSU,CII, DBT,NPCHH etc
  • Soft Skills training: The Institute also engaged subject matter experts for Soft skills training to improve the work environment and enhance efficiency & team spirit, Meditation and PRANIC healing etc .

Skills Upgradation

The staff is encouraged to attend the various training programmes organised by various deptts, organisations, external experts etc. Further, Training to all staff involved with patient care is provided as per the Monthly training calendar through In-house training sessions and on the job training.

Rewards & Accolades

The Institute rewards the employees for their consistency, loyalty and belongingness to the Institute and aims to foster culture of growth and collaboration to deliver the highest standard of patient care. In order to motivate the staff and to recognise the loyalty to the Institute, the employees who completes 10 yrs of continuous years of their dedicated service at the Institute are awarded with Certificate of Appreciation as “Owners of ILBS’ and those who complete 15 years are awarded as “Pillars of ILBS”.

Paperless

The Institute aims towards becoming a paperless office helping the environment. HR department has taken major initiatives towards this through the online digital activities which are as under.

  • E File management
  • Facial Reader Attendance Management
  • HR Modules deals with leave management, performance appraisal, employee related information, pay slips, investment declaration etc
  • Recruitment & Selection – Online applications, Screening of applications in digital mode etc
  • Employee Communication through email, intranet etc
