The Department of Transfusion Medicine is a state-of-the-art facility with both diagnostic and therapeutic services. It is equipped with the latest technology in component preparation with the provision for leucoreduction. We provide the patients with the safest possible blood and blood components through NAT testing. The apheresis section of the department has the provision for providing bedside therapeutic apheresis for patients in addition to routine plateletpheresis. The faculty and staff of the Transfusion Medicine department works in close coordination with the clinicians to provide superior quality service to the patients.

The Transfusion Medicine Department is actively involved in the research and provides efficient and quality services to the clinicians and researchers. The research interests of this Department is directed towards rational use of Blood and Blood Components in hepatic surgery.
